Standardisation is essential for ensuring interoperability, scalability, and ethical data use in data spaces, enabling seamless data exchange across sectors and borders. To support long-term sustainability and adoption, MobiSpaces actively aligned its use cases with existing standards and engaged in shaping future ones for smart cities and communities. Between June 2023 and July 2024, the project collaborated with standardisation bodies, hosted workshops, and participated in key events like Data Week and EBDVF24. These efforts brought together research, industry, and policy stakeholders to advance trustworthy, AI-ready data ecosystems.
